On October 12, the 2018 Opening Ceremony and Orientation for Overseas Students was held in the library's Second Report Hall, bringing together 70 new comers from 14 countries to start their life here.
Vice President Zhao Jian of ZUA attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.He, on behalf of ZUA, extended a warm welcome to these students. He introduced to them that ZUA， with a history of 69 years, is an institution of higher learning that trains high-quality application-oriented interdisciplinary talents, and is also the only aeronautical one in Henan. With coordinated development of aeronautics, architecture and manufacturing and other disciplines, it serves as an important base, producing interdisciplinary talents He hoped that foreign students could learn, experience and comprehend the extensive and profound Chinese culture in ZUA. And they should set lofty goals, enhance their expertise,making their life more meaningful.
Jing Yunbo delivered a speech as a teacher representative of School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She hoped that overseas students could integrate into ZUA as soon as possible to be a true ZUAer. She encouraged them to cherish their learning opportunities, and adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, despite the difficulties in language, study and life. High-quality talents could be made through learning professional skills, Chinese, traditional culture and comprehending its unique charm.
As a representative of foreign students, Wang Wenfu from Tanzania spoke fluently his learning experience and impression here in Chinese. He hoped that the new foreign students could seize the opportunity to truly integrate into ZUA in learning and life as soon as possible. “Although we are from different countries, we all chose China and ZUA, full of curiosity and excitement, looking forward to learning Chinese and professional competence, and understanding Chinese culture. "he said.

After the ceremony, the head from School of International Education conducted orientation in teaching, dormitory management, transportation and personal safety. Zhong Dan, director of Division of Exit & Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Zhengzhou, gave a special lecture on the interpretation of exit and entry policies.
