Graduate

Since 1985, ZUA has offered Master’s Degrees in collaboration with 13 other Chinese universities such as Northwestern Polytechnical University and Zhengzhou University. In so doing ZUA has accumulated a considerable amount of experience in dealing with postgraduate students and programs. ZUA has prioritized the development of its postgraduate program teaching faculty, recruiting the best possible academic staff and academics to ensure postgraduate students receive good education. At present, there are two doctoral tutors and 69 master’s tutors. This ensures students receive a well balanced and relevant educational experience.

In July 2013, ZUA was accredited by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and is now able to bestow master’s degrees on qualifying students (2014). ZUA have three faculties granting master’s degrees in the following disciplines: Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration and Library Science and Archive Management. The University also offers two professional Master’s Degree programs, i.e. Master of Accounting and Master of Engineering (Materials Engineering). At present there are over 200 full time postgraduate students enrolled at ZUA.

II. Application Criteria

Applications are open to foreign citizens in good health, below the age of 40 year who are university graduates with a bachelor’s degree and a clean criminal record. Applicants’ minimum Chinese proficiency must be New HSK Level 5 or an approved equivalent level. For those who apply for majors with English as the teaching medium, no certificate of Chinese language proficiency is required, but applicants should come from English-speaking countries or with an English proficiency no less than IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90 (or an equivalent level of proficiency).

1. ZUA Application Form for Foreign Students (degree program);

2. Valid Passport

3. Undergraduate diploma and degree certificate (Applicants who are about to graduate may submit a certificate of upcoming graduation.)

4. Academic record of all the undergraduate courses completed

5. HSK certificate (if required)

6. Two original letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors (on official letter head of Institution reflecting designation and contact details of author)

7. Physical Medical Examination Record for Foreigners

8. Proof of reliable financial support or a bank deposit certificate

9. A clean criminal record

a. Applicants should submit scanned copies of the original application materials or notarized materials.

b. Have your application materials translated into Chinese or English and notarized by a local notary office.

c. The above-mentioned application materials will not be returned regardless of applications status.

V. Verification and Admission

1. The verification process begins when all relevant material has being submitted in an acceptable form. ZUA may request additional information.

2. ZUA will select students according to their academic records at high school and the overall language proficiency of the applicants.

3. ZUA will deliver via international express Foreign Students Admission Notice of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics together with Foreign Students Visa Application Form and other materials to those who are successful within 15 work days.

VI. Registration

Visa Application

Successful students must take the Foreign Students Admission Notice of ZUA, Foreign Students Visa Application Form, a copy of their physical medical examination report and their valid passport to the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate and apply for a Chinese visa.

Applicants must bring the original admission notice, the original foreigner physical medical examination form and the JW202 to register at the School of International Education of ZUA on the date stipulated on the admission notice.

When applicants register, the University will check their original application materials against the submitted scanned material. If the original and submitted scanned copies differ the university is entitled to revoke the admission.

IX. Payment

1. Application fee must be paid when applicants submit their application materials into a designated bank account.

2. Tuition fees are paid in RMB currency after registration.
