On the afternoon of May 2nd, 2016 in Tanzania, under the leadership of Yezhou Guo, Vice Minister of International Liaison Department, Central Committee of CPC, the delegation paid a visit to the Confucius Institute supported by the Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics and the University of Dodoma. The delegation was accompanied by Dodoma’s chairman Adam Kimbisa, a member of the revolutionary party in Tanzania, Haodong Gou, Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Tanzania, IdrisKikula, President of the University of Dodoma and other relevant people.
During the visiting, Xueyu Zheng, the Chinese president of the Confucius Institute, gave the guests a detailed introduction about Dodoma’s history of development, discipline settings, students’number, teaching staff, supporting facilities and so on.
Then Yezhou Gao and Kimbisa visited the library and the teachers’office of the Confucius Institute and had an understanding of the construction and usage of audio-visual classrooms, computer rooms, multi-media classrooms and martial training center.
Yezhou Guo also had a cordial communication with the Confucius Institute’s teachers and students, asked about the teachers’work and life, spoke highly of students’Chinese calligraphy and Chinese drawing, and highly recognized the importance of the Confucius Institute in spreading Chinese culture.
The Confucius Institute in the University of Dodoma was one of the most successful Confucius Institutes in Africa for its great contribution in bringing Chinese into National Education System of Tanzania, Haodong Gou said.
