School of Art & Design
The School of Art and Design offers six 4-year undergraduate programs: Industrial Design, Product Design, Environmental Art Design, Visual Communication Design, Animation, and Advertising. After years’ development, the school is now proud to have an innovative, ambitious and experienced teaching team. Among its 44 teaching staff, 3 are professors and 7 are associate professors. 3 of our teachers have obtained their PhDs, and 38 others have received master’s degrees.
The school hosts a Laboratory Center for Art and Design which consists of Model Lab, Rapid Prototyping Lab, Apple Computer Room, Interactive Lab, Experience Lab, Materials Processing and Display Lab, Silk-screen Printing Lab, Photographic Camera Lab, Graphic Design Lab, Two-dimensional Animation Lab, Three-dimensional Animation Lab, Three-dimensional Animation Training Rooms, and Open Innovative Lab.
We stick to a principle that places teaching in the first place and promotes research to facilitate the former. Hence, we take full advantage of our faculty’s expertise, making great achievements in teaching and scientific research. We have undertaken more than 20 projects at the provincial level, such as the projects supported by Henan Natural Science Foundation, and Key Projects in Science and Technology of Henan Province.
We spare no effort to develop practice teaching and extracurricular activities which are innovative and entrepreneurial, aiming to cultivate students’ comprehensive ability and quality. Thence, our students have won more than 100 awards in various art design contests.
