School of Logistics
Founded in December, 2015, the school of Logistics is still young but with a long evolutionary history from Materials Management Department of 1978 to Material Trading Department and later the School of Management Science and Engineering. The undergraduate programs of Logistics Management and Logistics Engineering have been special majors in ZUA for a long time. They are also the earliest programs of their kind that were established among universities and colleges in Henan Province.
With a high level of teaching and researching, the faculties of the school are not only professional in their majors, but also fully devoted to their work. Currently, we have 30 faculty members, 10 of whom are professors or associate professors. 12 of them have obtained PhDs and 7 of them are postgraduate tutors. They have won various honors such as Academic Leaders in Science and Technology by Henan Ministry of Education.
The school is characterized by its undergraduate programs of Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering and Traffic and Transportation (focused on Aviation logistics). Since 2014, the school has the authority to confer master’s degrees in the major of Supply Chain and Logistics Management, which is affiliated to the discipline of Management Science and Engineering. The Teaching Team of Logistics Management is rated as Excellent Teaching Team in ZUA. The major of Logistics Management is enrolled in the Comprehensive Reform Project supported by Henan Province, and the Excellent Talents Cultivation Project by ZUA.
Currently, the school accommodates more than 1,200 undergraduates and postgraduates. The school hosts 3 teaching and researching sections, namely Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering and Aviation Logistics, 1 Modern Logistics Institute, 1 Logistic Lab Center as well as other administration offices. Among them, Aviation Logistics Lab is honored as the provincial engineering lab by Henan Development and Reform Commission.
