Department of Physical Education
Department of Physical Education consists of 3 teaching and research sections which provide physical education for all students in ZUA. The school now has 38 teachers, of whom there are 3 professors, 16 associate professors, 15 lecturer and 4 teaching assistants. 2 of them are with doctoral degree and 12 with master’s degree. Since 1996, the school has been adhering to the principles of “Health First” and Overall Education. We have been following standardized teaching procedures to ensure education quality, carrying out reform and innovation to seek development, and enhancing management to upgrade our system. Under these visions, the school has been listed as one of the advanced members in physical education in Henan province.
The school is in charge of two standard ground track fields, one of which has plastic tracks. The football field in each playground has artificial turf. Other sport facilities include 29 basketball fields, 10 volleyball fields, 7 tennis courts, 1 dry skating arena, 120 outdoor table tennis tables, 3 rooms for bodybuilding etc., covering a floor area of 82,522 square meters, that is 6.3 square meter per capita (15,000 students in total).
Our department has been pursuing excellence in many aspects. We have a righteous idea for running school, a standard system for managing our teachers, and a vigorous atmosphere in general. Thus, our teacher and students have won remarkable results in competitions. We will keep working on the improvement of the school’s sport infrastructure and our students’ physical health.
