International College
Established in December 2010, the International College of ZUA is a specialized agency for ZUA’s cooperation with foreign universities in running schools. It is fully responsible for conducting the program of Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, including teaching organization, international student management, the employment of foreign specialist and foreign teachers, and the task of bringing in advanced international education resources.
The International College is located in the south campus, covering a floor area of 300 acres. With its well-established facilities including office buildings, library, teaching buildings, standard stadium, auditorium, dining room, public bathhouses and dormitory, it can accommodate more than 500 students.
Currently, the International School offers several undergraduate programs under the project of Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running School supported by the Ministry of Education in China. It can enroll students in the major of Machinery Manufacturing and Automation which is cooperated with Northumbia University in UK, and the two majors of Agricultural Environment Protection Technology and Environmental Monitoring and Control Technology which are cooperated with Bangor University in UK. Cooperated with University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS), the major of Product Design began to enroll its first batch of students in December 2016, and the major of Environmental Design was also approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit students in 2017.
With ZUA’s excellent teaching staff and well-established facilities, the program of Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running School has brought in advanced international teaching resources. The two parties will jointly make proper plans for talents cultivation and put them into effective teaching practice, so as to introduce advanced ideas in international education, coordinate the courses taught both in ZUA and its international partners, and enable our students to have access to the excellent learning and teaching resources owned by famous universities home and abroad. Our school allows for a smooth transition to attending the partner universities abroad for further education. Students’ credits can be recognized and transferred, which enables them to pursue their Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in the partner universities abroad.
The International College attaches great importance to developing students’ personality and specialty, and puts much emphasis on the cultivation of students’ self-learning abilities, innovation spirit, practical abilities and independent living skills. Our students have gained an international point of view, and developed cultural tolerance and teamwork spirit. They have also mastered cross-cultural communication skills and cultivated the sense of international competitions. They have become international talents with a better understanding about the latest trends in their own fields and international market regulations; they are also applied talents with bilingual abilities, stronger innovation and international competitiveness.
